The Best of John Williams
World blockbusters such as Star Wars, Jaws, E.T. – the Extra-Terrestrial, and the series of Indiana Jones movies, certainly would not be the same without the spectacular musical accompaniment written by the American composer John Williams. Arch-shaped melodies, captivating rhythms and rich, colourful instrumentation are typical features of his music. His emotive approach undoubtedly serves as a major inspiration for other great composers such as Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman and others. The Czech National Symphony Orchestra can proudly call itself a "specialist" in Williams' music. Proof of this can be seen in the dozens of film concerts featuring live symphony music as part of the Symphonic Cinema project held throughout Europe, culminating in a twice-sold-out screening of Jurassic Park at London's Royal Albert Hall, as well as repeated requests on behalf of our audiences for Williams’ music to be performed at our Hollywood Night concerts.
