Your CNSO team,

Jazz on Screen

The Loop Jazz Club Hostivař, Studio Gallery,

The concept, first presented by Jan Hasenöhrl with the Loop Jazz Orchestra at PROMS 2017 is now entering its fourth year. Fortunately for us there appears to be a never-ending supply of jazz tracks from films, while the band’s versatility, including the option of inviting a symphony orchestra to the stage, offers unlimited opportunities to interpret works either in their original versions or as new arrangements. Conductor Vít Pospíšil, also a leading arranger for orchestras, employs his extensive musical insight and improvisation skills honed as a jazz pianist to achieve a fresh orchestral sound suited to both smaller ensembles as well as symphony orchestra. Those attending this year’s concert can look forward to another series of compositions spanning a great many jazz genres.
